Frequently Asked Questions

Should I have my insurance adjuster look at the roof before having an inspection?

You are more than welcome to file your own claim and have an adjuster come out, however the odds of being approved are much higher if you have an inspection completed beforehand by a licensed, bonded and insured Inspector. We know what damage to look for and can be there with the adjuster to assure that nothing is missed. However, if you choose to handle the claim yourself and want to use USA Roofing as your contractor once approved, just contact us when you’re ready to begin and we can schedule services.

How does the insurance billing process work?

If you are approved by your homeowner’s insurance, you will receive a Scope of Damages and your first check, the Actual Cash Value. To begin the roofing project, you will need to submit the Scope, ACV and your deductible to our office. Once services are completed, our office will send an invoice to your insurance company for the Recoverable Depreciation and any extra work that was completed. A few weeks later you will receive the final check from your insurance company that will also need to be submitted to our office. We can send you a copy of your Paid Invoice and/or a Certificate of Completion once services are paid in full.

ShouldI use my insurance’s preferred roofing company?

Many homeowners think they are obligated to use the insurance’s contractor, but it’s ultimately up to you to choose who will handle your repair work. That is not to say that you should reject the preferred contractor of your insurance company, but like with everything else, you must exercise due diligence when entering agreements, especially when it concerns your home.

Do I have to pay my insurance deductible?

The short answer is YES, you do need to pay your deductible if you want your homeowner’s insurance to cover the rest of your roof work.  In states like Oklahoma, homeowner’s are required BY LAW to pay their deductible when they file a claim. If you need a new roof, insurance can be a lifesaver.  Most roofs cost around 10% of the value of your home and protect your most valuable assets.  Paying your deductible can save you money because you’re only paying for a small portion of the materials and labor on your own.  Your insurance company will pay the rest.

We not only offer a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty, but we also use the best products for the best results.
